72-hour observing & imaging decision dashboard
This dashboard tells you whether tonight is a good night for stargazing or astrophotography. It combines weather data (clouds, wind, humidity) with astronomy calculations (sky darkness, seeing quality) to give you a go/no-go decision and the best time to observe.
Scores show how good tonight is for each activity. 80+ = excellent, 65+ = good, below 45 = poor. Click any card to see details.
Each row is one weather variable. Each column is one hour. Hover any colored cell to see the exact value. Click a cell for the full hourly breakdown. Dark columns = nighttime. The most important rows for observing are Cloud (GFS), Seeing, Darkness, and Dew Spread.
These are the specific times when conditions are best. "Deep Sky" means galaxies, nebulae, and clusters. "Planetary" means planets and the Moon's surface. Higher scores = better conditions.
